Halloween is a favorite celebration of many West Enders and we can enjoy every celebration imaginable and never leave the ‘hood. Here are the special events that you will want to mark on your calendar:
October 23rd, Saturday- The 8th Annual Railroad Scare. A Children’s Pumpkin Parade with Snoopy & Pals, a Scare-dy Dog Parade, Trick or Treats in shops for little goblins & pooches. Music, face painting, scarecrows and other activities. A family and dog friendly downtown event in Historic Railroad Square. October 24th, Sunday – The West End Full Moon Walking Tour. Discover the Secrets of the West End under October’s first full moon. This event is one of a kind and has limited space. First come, first served. The walking tour begins at Depot Park in Railroad Square, Santa Rosa. Hear the stories of the past and travel to a different time under the full moon of the West End. October 30th, Saturday- Halloween Carnival at CHOPS. A family friendly, evening of safe and ghoulish fun. Trick or treating, a jumpy house, game booths, face painting, costume contest and more! Carnival booths and activities geared for elementary age levels and younger. Location: CHOPs 509 Adams St. Time: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. $4 per person at the door. 25 cents per carnival ticket. October 30th, Saturday- 6th Street Theater Improv Halloween Show. Local improvisational comedy. Location: 6th Street Theater Time: 8 p.m.
October 31st, Sunday- 1st Annual West end Kids Halloween DAY Parade. Join us in COSTUME for a short parade around the neighborhood before trick or treating!! Kids, Adults and dogs welcomed. Location: Meet in Front of Allen and Lea’s Home (306 Boyce St.) Time: 6:15pm HALLOWEEN NIGHT
