Featured West End Sponsor- Don Taylor’s Omelette Express

The Omelette isn’t just a place to enjoy a great breakfast or lunch: it’s a Sonoma County institution. It all started back in 1977 when Nan Taylor was inspired to bring business to the then rough little Railroad Square area by opening a restaurant where she could serve up a great breakfast to the people of Santa Rosa. After ten years, Nan retired and turned it over to her son Don in 1987. The Omelette opened their second location in Old Town Windsor in 2007.

This year, Don Taylor’s Express opened on the remote South Korean island of JeJu. This International version is a training restaurant where teen moms can be trained to cook, serve and run a restaurant. This is just another example of Don’s dedication to the Santa Rosa’s sister city relationship with Jeju City, the island’s capital. For over 20 years, the Omelette Express owner has been key to an exchange of culture and art between the two cities. He’s also provided the opportunity for many of Santa Rosa’s key government to experience Jeju’s famed Fire Festival.

Stop by the Omelette for a hearty breakfast, a wonderful burger or many other delicious items on their menu. It’s comfortable and family friendly. On the weekends, at peak hours, you’ll even find Don greeting customers at the front door.

Thank-you to our wonderful sponsors for 2018- Our West End Neighborhood sponsors all have ties to this neighborhood and generously sponsor the West End Neighborhood Association so we can provide valuable information to our residents on our website, our newsletter and at our meetings.
