Santa Rosa gets a Splash of Color Local artist, Judy Kennedy, creates colorful crosswalks that creates a sense of place and makes crosswalks more noticeable.

May 28th, Monday at 12 p.m. S R Rural Cemetery Memorial Day- Tours of Veteran’s Graves. Honor the day with special guests, refreshments, and tours of veterans’ graves. 12pm at the Franklin Gate. Free admission. Location: SR Rural Cemetery 1600 Franklin Ave.

June 2nd, Saturday noon to 2 p.m. 2018 Sonoma County Pride Parade Parade states at noon, followed by our Pride Festival from Noon to 8PM. This year’s theme is Together We Rise. The entire event will be about joining together to resist bigotry and discrimination and helping the community to heal and rebuild. Location: 4th St. Downtown Santa Rosa

June 5th, Tuesday at 6 to 9 p.m. Peace Corps Story Slam Want to have a fun evening out AND help a great cause? Then join the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers for a fun night of storytelling! Peace Corps Volunteers are hosting a story slam and will share some of the highs and lows of their overseas experiences. If you love to hear stories that are funny, poignant, inspirational and from the heart, this story slam is for you! A donation of $10 would be very much appreciated which will go to Face to Face to help end HIV in Sonoma County. June 9th, Saturday 10 a.m. to 11:30 – Walking Down Cemetery Lane Come take a walk down Cemetery Lane and you will find out about many of Santa Rosa’s early citizens for whom our streets are named. This is a fundraiser to help Barney Hoen (one of Santa Rosa’s Founding Fathers) get his long-awaited tombstone.
