Starting soon! West End Summer Bocce- Every Friday evening at 6 p.m. June 19th– September 18th DeMeo Park is the place to spend your Summer evenings. Neighbors and friends meet up, socialize, share food and play bocce. Family friendly. Well behaved dogs are welcomed. Location: DeMeo Park 610 Polk St.

BRIAN HOWLETT: GLEAN & GROW June 23rd- August 13th Art Exhibit , Reception: Friday, July 31, 5-7pm, ”There is a joy, a sense of gratitude and satisfaction when you grow and raise your own food. It’s that joy which I express in this current watercolor series, Glean & Grow. Each painting is a “portrait” of the fruits and vegetables I have gleaned from neighbors or that I have grown in our little backyard neighborhood garden in downtown Santa Rosa. My hope is that you enjoy my family of portraits as much as I’ve enjoyed painting them.” Location: City Hall Council Chambers 100 Santa Rosa Avenue


June 26 to July 19th– Buddy! The Buddy Holly Story The true story of Buddy’s meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when “That’ll Be The Day” hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later. The show features over 20 of Buddy Holly’s greatest hits including “Peggy Sue”, “Everyday”, and “Oh Boy”, plus Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba” and The Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace”. The incredible legacy of the young man in his famous horn-rimmed glasses continues to live on in Buddy! Location: 6th St. Playhouse, G.K. Hardt Theatre

June 24th, Wednesday at 2 p.m.- Mad Science Spectacular: Movie Special Effects (ages 5 & up) This is a thrilling, high-energy science presentation, children will learn how to create special effects sounds and watch how science can create super heroes! June 24th, Wednesday at 3 p.m.- Henna Art (grades 7- 12) Learn about the natural, ancient art form of henna, apply your own henna creation, or have artist Beth Bowman design one for you. Teens only!
