Council Goal 6: Committed to making Santa Rosa a community where people feel safe to live, work and play.

On JUNE 9th, Tuesday– City Council will continue their Study Session Review regarding Currently Provided Homeless Services and responses.  This is a follow up to the first Study Session, held May 19, 2015, where the City Council reviewed the variety of City and Community’s homeless services and related responses. This second study session will consider options should Council provide policy direction to maintain, adapt or expand its efforts on homelessness. They could use community input. Please review Presentation and Staff Report  and direct comments to:;David Gouin, ; Chief Hank Schreeder ; City Manager Sean McGlynn .

June 6-7 & June 13-14, Two Weekends 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.- Art at the Source Discover the artistic abundance of Sonoma County. The 21st annual Art at the Source Open Studios Tour features 157 artists in 98 studio locations. West Ender, Robert (Bob) Ankers studio, Sculpture: creations produced from repurposed materials, will be open, 134 W. 7th St.

June 20th, Saturday 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Whitewater Rodeo on Santa Rosa Creek Build a toy boat and race it down the shallow rapids. Wear shoes that can get wet (no sandals). Laughs and prizes, everyone is a winner! Don’t have time to build a boat? Materials and assistance will be available that morning to craft your own vessel.
