The West End Farmers Market 9:30 to 2 p.m. Every Sunday until December 13th! Our 2015 Season Opening day was fantastic! The freshest veggies, meat, sausage, spices, tea, coffee, pastries and delicious Jewish Deli food awaits. We will have a knife sharpener at the market, every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month, starting this week! This Sunday, there will be a Giant Bubble display by a competition bubble master-(starts at 11:30 a.m.) and a free compost give away. Bring a 5 gallon bucket or feed sack to take home your own mini-load of compost. Check out the Gallery to see a few West Enders at the market on opening day. More info at wefm.co

March 30th deadline: The Spring Citizen Police Academy will begin on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. The Citizen Police Academy is designed to enhance relationships with community members by familiarizing academy participants with the Santa Rosa Police Department, its policies, and practices.  The intent of the Citizen Police Academy is not to train citizens to become police officers, but to show participants firsthand the daily responsibilities and expectations of the occupation of police officers and other department employees. There are 25 spots available. Classes will be held every Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. through June 10, 2015 (9 weeks). There will also be two Saturday classes that are currently being scheduled. Please fill out an application and submit it to the Santa Rosa Police Department at 965 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95404, or by email at srpdadmin@srcity.org no later than March 30th, 2015.
