BoDean Asphalt Appeal- Funds Needed to Proceed

Oct 30, 2014 in Development & projects, Neighbor News

Citizens for Safe Neighborhoods filed a lawsuit with the So Co Superior Court against the City of Santa Rosa for allowing the new facility without an environmental review in 2012. CFSN lost that case and now has appealed Judge Daum’s ruling to State court. We have to have our court papers turned in by December 17, 2014. We need to raise $8,000.00 in the next week to keep the case moving forward.

CFSN is small group of concerned citizens that care deeply about the health and well being of the families that are directly impacted by the production of asphalt at the BoDean facility. The City of SR allowed the construction of three storage silos that has given the BoDean Company the ability to take large asphalt jobs that in the past they could not. The plant is producing asphalt at night more than ever before- profoundly degrading the sanctity of nearby homes and creating other impacts that affect downtown Santa Rosa.

Rachel Mansfield-Howlett our legal representative has agreed to take on our appeal at no extra cost to CFSN as long as we pay off her original fees. So please consider a donation of a $100.00 or more. We have over 30 donations totaling $20,000.00 so far. WE ARE ALMOST THERE.

Please make checks payable to CFSN – mail P.O. Box 3964 Santa Rosa Ca. 95402 or pay by paypal at www.cfsn.us
