June 14th, Saturday at 12:45pm- Anthem Party The Smithsonian is trying to set a new world record for the largest number of people singing the National Anthem at the same time. Celebrate the 200-year anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner and help set that record! All of the Smithsonian Affiliates (to which the Sonoma County Museum belongs) are going to host an Anthem Party at the exact same time all across the country. The Redwood Chordsmen have invited been invited to start the singing. Location: Sonoma County Museum, 425 7th Street

June 14th, 6 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.- Saturday Peggy Sue’s All-American Cruise A car show for all car enthusiasts with American made models dating from the early 1900′s to 1976. Peggy Sue’s All-American Cruise is Sonoma County’s largest car show. Hotrods, Roadsters and Customs that not only take you back in time but shows the workmanship and dedication it takes to recreate any one of these classic cars or trucks.  These beautiful cars can be seen in a parade from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. peggysuescruise.com Location:  Downtown Santa Rosa- 4th & 5th Streets

June 14th– July 7th– Grease Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s. Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as “Grease Lightnin”, “It’s Raining on Prom Night”, and “Alone at the Drive-In Movie”. June 21st, Saturday 10:30 to noon – Whitewater Rodeo on S. R. Creek (ages 5 to adult)- Build a toy boat and race it down the shallow rapids. Wear shoes that can get wet (no sandals). Project begins the end of June: 6th St and Wilson St Sewer and Water ImprovementsHeads up! This project is anticipated to start the last week of June. Streets will not be blocked off but there will be disruption to traffic during working hours. The project specifications require the contractor to maintain vehicular access through the 6th Street and Wilson Street at all times subject to intermittent short delays. There will be heavy construction equipment operating on the streets, large truck movement and open trenches at different times of the operations.  There will be lots of street signage and workers with flags/signs directing traffic during working hours.  If you have any questions, call at Otto Bertolero  at  (707) 543-3878.

The Children’s Museum of So. Co. is partially open! The outdoor exhibits such as Mary’s Garden and the Art Studio are open.
