Halloween in the West End saw a gathering of friends and family- not to mention lady bugs, tigers and zombies. West End friend  DJ Will Daye ( Free Will Productions Mobile DJ Entertainment ) brought us music. Dance Instructor Katherine Gallagher ( Le Studio Danse  ) led  the willing and able in “Thriller”. November 10th, Sunday at 4 p.m. West End Poodle Party. Calling all social Poodles!… it’s time to party. The West End Poodle Party is held the second Sunday of every month. All Poodles, Poodle fusions and Poodle friendly dogs are invited to attend. Organized by West Ender Lea Barron-Thomas. Location: DeTurk Round Barn Dog Park  Facebook

November 12th, Tuesday- S. R. Historic Tour. Take a tour on Rosie the Trolley with Santa Rosa’s favorite docent, Bill Montgomery. View historic facilities in S. R. such as DeTurk Round Barn, Church of One Tree, the Rosa memorial stone, Carrillo Adobe and many others. Tour is from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. and meets at Howarth park. Tour fee $20. November 15th– December 8th– The 39 Steps is a madcap spoof of the Hitchcock original in which four actors play over 150 characters. A man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home she is murdered. A riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft that climaxes in a death-defying finale! Location: The Studio Theatre, 6th St. Playhouse

October 25th– November 10th– One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The story of a charming rogue contrives to serve a short sentence in an airy mental institution rather than in prison. This, he learns, was a mistake as soon as he clashes with Nurse Ratched, a formidable opponent to his notions of nonconformity in her structured an controlling psych war and the famous show down between nurse and patient is one of the riveting evenings of theatre. West End actor Alan Kaplan is in the cast.. Location: GK Hardt Theater, 6th Street Playhouse
