We are nearing the end of July, but summer is still in full swing.

Every Friday Evening- West End Bocce. Meet for food, socializing and bocce. Bring a dish to share. Dog, kid friendly. Location: DeMeo Park 

Every Sunday until October 27th 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.- The West End Farmers Market. It’s right in the ‘hood. Eat healthy, support local farmers and stay out of your car.  Fresh veggies, fruit, baked delights, delicious prepared foods, beverages and specialty items will be available. The focus is on local, high quality products. Location: Donahue Street between W. 9th and Boyce Streets Photos

West End Bicycle Parade and BBQ recap. It was a great gathering of friends and neighbors at DeMeo Park. The bicycle parade was the best ever. Thanks to everyone who came but especially to our volunteers- Guy Dean, Heather Rosales, David Drake, Jen Watson, Kevin Pryne, Karen Spencer, Carol Haseltine-Ernst & Allen Thomas. Upper West End-Supper in the Street – A second annual event in the 10th, 11th, Ripley, Lincoln Street pocket was held Saturday, July13.  Supper in the Street was an evening filled with old and new faces and a great opportunity for neighbors to meet. Truly a grassroots happening –neighbors brought tables, chairs, food to share, and can-do spirit. July 19th– August 4th– The Great American Trailer Park Musical. It’s baaaack! Last summer’s sold-out hit over 2 runs in Sonoma and Napa counties – if you missed it the first 2xs, you’ve got another chance! July 25th, Thursday at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.- 5th Annual Art Gala  This juried Art Gala features teen art created during our Side by Side Artist Series, including urban spray and acrylic painting, glass blowing, mosaics and welding. Enjoy appetizers prepared by Chop’s Teen Catering Crew and music by Chop’s Teen Band.  Location Chop’s Teen Club 509 Adams Street

July 25 to August 11th  (closed on Mondays!) Sonoma County Fair. This year “Backyard Blossoms” is the theme of their famous Hall of Flowers Floral Show. Musical highlights: West End favorite- Shannon Rider & Band will be playing the Sonoma County Fair on Saturday, August 10th from 1:15-4:30 (park stage)!
