April Dog Friendly

Apr 6, 2013 in Animals, Lost Pet, Events, Miscellany

April is national Pet First Aid Awareness Month. It never hurts to be prepared luckily there is a Pet First Aid class on April 9th (See below).

Remember… we can always use plastic bags at the dog park. Leave them on the fence… we’ll take it from there!

Double Gate Entry at Dog Park– Use the double gated entry at the dog park. It allows you to enter with your dog and (very important) assess the energy at the dog park when other dogs are present. If it looks okay- then you can slip off your dog’s leash and enter. If you don’t feel comfortable- (perhaps there are too many dogs or too much energy)- it is your responsibility as your dog’s guardian to not enter. Take a walk instead…. you can always come back later.

April 14th, Sunday at 10 a.m. West End Small Dog Hour– A slower, downsized environment for the smaller dog to play in. A great time for small dogs to meet with other small dogs to romp without concern. The West End Small Dog Hour is held the second Sunday of every month right before the W. E. Poodle Party. Heavy rain will cancel event. Organized by West Ender Lea Barron-Thomas Location: DeTurk Round Barn Dog Park
