July 25th – August 12th The Sonoma County Fair Diamond Jubilee! 17 days of family fun (Closed Mondays) The Hall of Flowers theme is “Ports of Call”. Free entertainment with the price of admission- wine country racing, headline entertainment, spectacular carnival rides, junior and professional livestock shows and so much more. August 5th, Sunday/ August 12th, Sunday- Dog Derby Dash– Little dogs gone wild. Watch Dachshunds, Chihuahuas, Pugs, Yorkies, Jack Russells and more move their tiny paws at the speed of lightning. Location: So. Co. Fair racetrack Time: Between races

August 4th, Saturday- Elvis Impersonation Contest This is a musical impersonation contest. Contestants will be accompanied by a live band. Location: So. Co. Fairgrounds Community Theater Time: 8:00 p.m.

August 5th, Sunday- Sonoma County Fair Farmers Day Sheep Drive: For the opening celebration of Sonoma County Fair’s Farmers Day, professional cowboys on horses and sheep dogs will herd 150-200 sheep from Courthouse Square to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Musicians will follow. Location: Downtown 4th Street and Mendocino Time: 10 a.m.

August 12th, Sunday- Shannon Rider (rockin’country) Location: Park Stage Time:6:00, 7:15, 8:15 p.m.

Greentivities recycle, reduce, reuse– New this year at the Sonoma County Fair is “Greentivities” a fun, interactive, and exciting venue for both kids and adults. Prepare to be delighted and intrigued by engaging hands-on exhibits and demonstrations. Outside the Garden Building there will be more exciting events as well, such as the addition on Friday afternoons of art cars, big vehicles, and homemade bicycles incorporated into the regular 5 p.m. parade lineup. Location: the Garden Building Time: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
