It may be the end of July, but it is not the end of events and good times. Enjoy Bocce and a Movie in the West End this Friday. Chop’s Teen Club Art Gala is this Thursday – drop by to see all the exciting things they are doing. Yes… it is also time for the fair! This Wednesday features a special sidewalk procession from the Wednesday Night Market to the Fair (with free admission!) 

West End:

West End Summer Bocce- Every Friday at DeMeo Park. Bring a dish to share. Family and dog friendly. Location: DeMeo Park 810 Polk Street Time: 6 p.m.

July 26th, Thursday- Chop’s Teen Club Art Gala.   A special evening to showcase the art that was created during the Summer Art Series. This year there was an incredible schedule with guest artists including Arn Anderson, Klaus Rappensperger and Joey Castor, who taught Metal Fabrication, Brino who taught Spray and Acrylic Painting, and Davin Goldstein who taught the Glasswork class.  This will be a juried show with guest judges, Ty Jones, Tara Matheny-Schuster and Karin Demarest  The evening will also feature appetizers prepared by the Chop’s Catering Crew and music by the Chop’s Jam Band.  Please plan to stop by!  Location: Chops Teen Club 509 Adams Street Time: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

July 27th Friday– West End Summer Movie Nights“Back to the Future” Watch a movie under the stars.  Movies start at Dark. Bring something to sit on, warm clothes and friends. Free popcorn! July 25th, Wednesday- 7-8pm Sonoma County Fair Sidewalk Procession: Join the Sidewalk Procession from downtown to the Fairgrounds, and get into the fair for  Fair FREE! Meet at Wednesday Night Market (4th & E Streets); everyone will  head for the Fairgrounds at 7:00 pm. Feel free to put together a marching band or other special group, or come on your own. Daniel Graham, West End Sculptor, has been selected to be part of the 60th Sausalito Art Fair. 270 artists throughout the United States exhibit and sell works ranging from painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramic, glass, fiber arts and fashion, wood, photography, mixed media, and more. This prestigious event is held on Labor Day weekend- September 1st– 3rd. For Immediate Release: July 19, 2012 Scam Regarding USPS Santa Rosa, CA –  Beware of e-mails purportedly sent from the United States Postal Service (USPS) warning you of “failure to deliver” a package that you have sent. The e-mail advises you to print out the attached label and bring it to your local post office to collect the package. The label is attached as a .pdf file to the e-mail and when it is opened, may be releasing possible malware onto your computer. The So. Co. District Attorney’s Office will be posting information regarding scams to increase public awareness. If you have already received an e-mail similar to this and happened to have opened the .pdf file attachedimmediately run your virus scan to determine if your computer has been infected.
