Want to make a difference this weekend? You can help transform a wasted yard into a beautiful place that will create neighborhood pride or you can help cleanup and maintain the Prince Memorial Greenway. West Enders Betsy Hall and Stan Gow are in charge of these two great community improvement projects. The West End was also featured in a recent Press Democrat article- it is an interesting look at the neighborhood.
May 5th and 6th– The West End Garden Challenge 2012 at 133 7th Street. Rise to the challenge of creating a more sustainable neighborhood. Spend an afternoon or even an hour to help transform the yard at 133 7th Street from a wasteland to a sustainable, water wise garden filled with natives, herbs and drought tolerant plants. Activities: mulching, digging and planting. Bring: Shovel, rake, gloves, hat and sunscreen. Share: Bring something from your garden bulbs that need separating, herbs, succulents or a stepping stone!
