W. E. Small Dog Hour

May 13th, West End Small Dog Hour– A slower, downsized environment for the smaller dog to play in. A great time for small dogs to meet with other small dogs to romp without concern. The West End Small Dog Hour is held the second Sunday of every month right before the W. E. Poodle Party. Rain will cancel the event. Organized by West Ender Lea Barron-Thomas Location: DeTurk Round Barn Dog Park  Time: 10 a.m.

W. E. Poodle Party

May 13th, West End Poodle Party. Calling all social Poodles!… it’s time to party. The West End Poodle Party is held the second Sunday of every month. All Poodles, Poodle fusions and Poodle friendly dogs are invited to attend. Rain will cancel the event. Organized by West Ender Lea Barron-Thomas. Location: DeTurk Round Barn Dog Park Time: 11 a.m.

Santa Rosa (other than West End):

May 11, 12 & 13thTake Another Lap at the Water Bark Dog Swim!Doggie swim weekend returns to The swimming lagoon will be open as a leash-free dog park. All well-behaved dogs welcome. Dogs must have current rabies inoculation or valid dog license. $3 per dog per day for Parks members, $5 for non-members. Proceeds go to the Regional Parks Foundation to support the parks. Summer Dog Friendly Fun in San Francisco:

July 22nd, Sunday- Dog Day on the Bay 2012. An  annual festive, dog-friendly cruise . Participating dogs are treated to a bow-wow buffet, canine water stations and an outdoor dirt deck for digging and bathroom breaks. Owners enjoy a champagne brunch, socializing, dancing with their dogs and sweeping San Francisco Bay views. Cost is $125 per adult, $65 per child (ages 4-12), and free for children under 4. Dogs sail for free. Tax and gratuity not included. Purchase tickets in advance through Hornblower Cruises & Events, at www.hornblower.com or 415-788-7020. Location: Pier 3, Embarcadero San Francisco Time: Boarding at 10am, cruise from 11am – 1pm

Aug. 25th, Saturday. S. F. Giants Dog Days of Summer. Take Bowser out to the Ball Game! This year’s  is  at 1 p.m. (Giants vs. Braves). The cost is $70 per ticket (1 dog/1 human). Seating is assigned in the bleacher area of the ballpark. First come, first served. All registration must be done in advance through the mail. Space is very limited. No walk-ups will be accepted on event day. All tickets will be mailed to you and are subject to availability. Rainout redemption by mail only.
