April Music and Romance at 6th St.Playhouse

The 6th Street Playhouse stages are filled with musical stories and entertainment in April. You can raise a glass to romance at a Cabaret show in the Studio Theater or enjoy the story of  four high school girls who step in at the last minute as entertainers at their  Senior Prom. You can also experience interactive theater with improv artists. All this entertainment is available within a short walk of your front door!

Off-Broadway Musical hit by Roger Bean
April 20 to May 13, 2012

Travel back to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where four girls (The Wonderettes) have hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts.  This jukebox musical by Roger Bean features 1950s and ‘60s pop classics including “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Stupid Cupid,” “Lipstick On Your Collar,” “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,” “It’s My Party.” The high school prom have never been this much fun and you will never forget The Marvelous Wonderettes from this must-take musical trip down memory lane. 6th Street Playhouse and Napa Valley’s Lucky Penny Productions team up for this enchanting evening celebrating lovers and their libation of choice by “raising a glass to romance!”  Lucky Penny founders Taylor Bartolucci and Barry Martin are joined by Daniela Innocenti Beem and Anthony Martinez, with Lucas Sherman at the piano. These four vocal powerhouses, who starred in 6th Street Playhouse production of “Kiss Me, Kate” (recently voted by San Francisco BroadwayWorld.com followers as “Musical of the Year”), reunite once again to celebrate love with songs of romance in the intimate cabaret setting of the Studio Theatre.
