Time to get out your calendar! The West End has two official meetings a year and one annual BBQ and Bike Parade- mark them down so you don’t miss them. Listed below that are several events that always sell out or fill up. Move fast or risk disappointment.
March 15th, Thursday- West End Neighborhood Association Spring Meeting. Location: DeTurk Round Barn Time: 7 p.m.
November 15th, Thursday- West End Neighborhood Association Fall Meeting. Location: DeTurk Round Barn Time: 7 p.m.
July 21st, Saturday- The Annual West End neighborhood BBQ and Bike Parade. Friends and neighbors join together to dine, dish and delight in our beautiful park. The Bike Parade is routed throughout the neighborhood. Bring your decorated bike and join in. Under 18 yrs. must wear a helmet. Location: Parade starts and ends at DeMeo Park, BBQ at DeMeo Park. February 27th through March 4th– Sonoma County Restaurant Week Participating restaurants will offer three course prix- fixe dinners for $19, $29 or $39 and will feature the excellent tastes from our world class chefs and delicious local ingredients. The emphasis on farm-fresh food and local wineries is beneficial to you, your favorite restaurants and to for local food suppliers, farmers, wineries, and the economic vitality of Sonoma County. July 13th Friday, S. R. Rural Cemetery Darkside Tours Experience the dark side of Santa Rosa’s history. Hear and see true tales of murder, suicide and other ghastly tragedies of past Santa Rosa residents. Evening Tours – Space is limited. September 14 & 15, Fri. & Sat.- S. R. Rural Cemetery Lamplight Tours. Walk at night through Santa Rosa’s oldest cemetery to see and hear all new dramatic portrayals of some of our city’s early settlers. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a flashlight. September 29th, Saturday– The fourth version of Levi’s GranFondo rolls through the streets of Santa Rosa, California and into the golden hills of our coastal mountains this September. The three routes opened up for regisitration on January 17th– already the gran (103 mile) route has sold out. There’s plenty of room left in the medio (65 mile) and (32 mile) piccolo routes.
