In the first days of February, final rehearsals are underway in the Studio Theatre for “Proof.” Opening Feb. 10, this 2001 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner combines mystery and suspense with good old-fashioned storytelling when a troubled young woman discovers a revolutionary mathematical breakthrough. West End neighbor Alan Kaplan stars as the young woman’s father.

THE DROWSY CHAPERONEThrough Feb. 5, 2012 – GK Hardt Theatre:  What happens when a lonely man has a love affair with his favorite Broadway musical? “The Drowsy Chaperone,” a classic, jazz-age musical-comedy and all its hilarious characters come to life in his living room. The Tony awarding-winning
Broadway hit “The Drowsy Chaperone” is the ultimate love letter to musical theater as it delights with pure escapism when a man’s vivid imagination transforms his drab apartment into a glittering showcase of show stopping singing and dancing, dazzling costumes and magical sets.
Tickets $15 to $35.

PROOF – Feb. 10 to Feb. 26, 2012 – Studio Theatre:  Winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play, “Proof” combines mystery and suspense with good old-fashioned storytelling when a troubled young woman discovers a revolutionary mathematical breakthrough. On a weekend following the death of her father (a famous mathematician), romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draws Catherine into the most difficult problem of all – how much of her father’s madness ‘or genius’ will she inherit? “Proof” explores the power of love, trust and talent with thoughtfulness and humor as Catherine must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father’s who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind.
