Mail stolen from box. A Jefferson Street neighbor reports: A neighbor told me that some of my mail was at his back door under a step. I left 6 envelopes in my mailbox at 9am to be picked up by the mailperson in the afternoon.  Evidently before she arrived it was stolen.  There were 5 envelops with checks in them – one recovered by the neighbor.  I put a stop payment on all the checks and reported this to SRPD. It is a sad state now that I can not even leave outgoing mail in my personal mailbox on the porch. Please let others know that they may also have had outgoing mail taken from their box on Friday. Thanks Susan S Hayes
