 6th Street Playhouse, an award-winning local theater, presents their January productions of “The 39 Steps” and “The Drowsy Chaperone.”  Spend an evening enjoying music, laughter, the hilarity of improv in our very own neighborhood.

THE DROWSY CHAPERONEJan. 13 to Feb. 5, 2012 – GK Hardt Theatre:  What happens when a lonely man has a love affair with his favorite Broadway musical? “The Drowsy Chaperone,” is a classic, jazz-age musical-comedy where a man’s vivid imagination transforms his drab apartment into a glittering showcase of show stopping singing and dancing, dazzling costumes and magical sets. Tickets $15 to $35.

THE 39 STEPSJan. 6 to Jan.  to Jan. 22, 2012 – Studio Theatre: Combine a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have “The 39 Steps.” This fast-paced, action-packed Tony and Drama Desk award-winning whodunit features four actors playing over one hundred fifty zany characters. It’s a thrilling, hilarious, unforgettable theater experience. Tickets: $10 to $25

6th STREET IMPROV!Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 – Studio Theatre:  Step back in time with 6th Street Improv as the troupe takes audience suggestions to create a funny and entertaining 1940’s style Improvised Radio Show with music, sound effects, comedy and a sponsor from, well only The Shadow knows. Tickets $14.
