West End Meeting This Thursday Night!

Nov 15, 2011 in Miscellany

Meet your neighbors and friends at DeTurk Round Barn this Thursday night at 7 p.m. for the West End Neighborhood Association Fall Meeting. It’s a good time to say “hello” to neighbors you know and “Nice to meet you” to new neighbors. There will also be interesting updates and a performance from a West End artist. If you haven’t seen the inside of the barn yet… this is a great time to see it.

November 17th, Thursday- West End Neighborhood Association Fall Meeting. Location: DeTurk Round Barn 819 Donahue Street Time: 7 p.m.

West End Newsletters are out. We need folks in Upper West End to help deliver them, hopefully before our meeting on Thursday night. Upper West End = Lincoln, 11th, 10th, Ripley. Take a street or take the whole thing! Thanks to Jacquie Smith and Steven Higbee for covering Decker, Boyce and W. 8th!

The last stage of the 9th Street Mural is finally going up! West End Neighborhood and St. Rose Neighborhood is being installed over the 9th Street over crossing. Pictured are Chandra Woodworth and Sara Gray who worked on the West End side today.

The Assistance League “New to You” Shop celebrated their new Artstart’s murals.  The Five art panels display models wearing vintage clothing from the 1920’s to the 1940’s  on the Adam’s Street side of their building. Chiara Sarter, West End resident, was the artist. Mayor Ernesto Olivares cut the ribbon while well wishers, neighbors, Railroad Square Association and Chiara’s proud parents watched.
