9th Street Mural Community Painting Day- DAY 2

Sep 16, 2011 in Miscellany

Come out this Saturday to help us complete the 9th Street Mural Project. The St Rose and West End Historic Districts have joined together to paint a mural at the 9th street underpass – the intersection of our neighborhoods. The goal is to create an attractive, comfortable, graffiti-free experience for the pedestrian, bike rider, driver or neighbor who may travel through this under crossing. This mural is funded by a City of Santa Rosa CAB grant. Thanks to Friedman’s Home Improvement for donating the paint!

September 17th, Saturday- 9th Street Mural Community Painting- DAY 2. Last Saturday we painted the background and this Saturday we will be working on the actual design. ArtStart will help us to learn to to use the templates that will create the mural. The inventive design allows neighborhood volunteers to easily maintain the mural. Share in the experience of beautifying the path many of us walk, ride or drive through. Location: 9th Street Undercrossing Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (depends on when we finish!) Facebook
