August 19th, Friday at 8:00pm – August 28th at 2:00pm- Great War Chronicle An elderly woman tells her grandchildren of her early years with their grandfather, when the demands of war sadly separated them in a rock opera production. 6th Street Playhouse presents a rare opportunity to see a professionally produced workshop production of the new musical “Great War Chronicle” written by a noted Bay Area composer, featuring a romantic story set against a historical backdrop. August  20th, Saturday- The No. CA Bicycle Expo. Your destination for all things bike. Features a Ride About Town, lots of bikes, accessories, clothes & bike inspired arts and crafts. August 20th– Saturday. Redwood Empire Live Steamers Interactive Museum-Come ride this Saturday! Trains will soon be a reality in Santa Rosa. Here’s an opportunity to teach you kids about trains.  Only a few more runs left before the trains are put up for the winter.  The weather is suppose to be perfect for trains and picnics, so pack up the kids, bring a picnic basket and spend the afternoon.Westender Andre Siedentopf  (RELSIM member) says if you mention you saw this event on their website or Facebook- you will get a free ride!! August  20th &  21st, Saturday & Sunday- Cotati Accordion Festival. West End Musicians- Tim Sarter & Amber Lee Baker will perform.  Mad Maggies (Celtic Polka)  The Mad Maggies are seven musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area who play roots-driven, rowdy folk fusion with a dash of hot pepper and a swig of slivovitz — they kick up some dust. the West End’s own Tim Sarter on Bass. The West End’s own squeezebox goddess,  Amber Lee Baker will perform both days and be in the Accordion Babes pageant. (Can’t miss that!) For full schedule:  Cotati Accordion Festival

August 21st, Sunday at 10 a.m.Pug Play Day at DeTurk Round Barn Dog Park. Piles of Pugs play and cavort. It’s a sight to see. Pug Play Day is held the 3rd Sunday of every month. For more info: Lisa Howard
