This includes developing individual response plans, maintaining individual emergency supply kits, and outreaching to neighborhoods in the community. April 29th, Friday- Free Safe Medicine Disposal. Flushing medications down the toilet may harm our local waterways because wastewater treatment plants aren’t designed to treat them. Medicines don’t belong in the garbage either where they can also get into the landfill environment. Drop off your expired, unused and unwan ted prescription and over-the-counter drugs to Santa Rosa Police Department 965 Sonoma Ave. Santa Rosa Time: 1-5 p.m. Safe Medicine Disposal
May 3rd, Tuesday- Sustainable Solutions for Historic Homes in So. Co. Come learn about ways to make your historic home more energy efficient, ask questions to the experts and mingle with your fellow historic homeowners! Discussion topics: Energy efficiency measures to be taken in a historic home, Financing options for energy upgrades, Resources available to guide homeowners. Sustainable Solutions for Historical Homes
May 18th, Wednesday- Plan Bay Area Workshop. A public discussion on how to accommodate future growth. Workshop participants will use interactive web-based simulation to outline priorities, consider different growth options and see future consequences. Space is limited.
