April 28th, Thursday- COPE with Emergencies.The mission of COPE is to help residents, families, and neighborhoods become and remain better prepared to respond to and recover from emergency situations. This includes developing individual response plans, maintaining individual emergency supply kits, and outreaching to neighborhoods in the community. Location: Santa Rosa City Hall Council Chambers 100 Santa Rosa Avenue Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

C.O.P.E with Emergencies

April 29th, Friday- Free Safe Medicine Disposal. Flushing medications down the toilet may harm our local waterways because wastewater treatment plants aren’t designed to treat them.  Medicines don’t belong in the garbage either where they can also get into the landfill environment. Drop off your expired, unused and unwan ted prescription and over-the-counter drugs to Santa Rosa Police Department 965 Sonoma Ave. Santa Rosa Time: 1-5 p.m. Safe Medicine Disposal

May 3rd, Tuesday- Sustainable Solutions for Historic Homes in So. Co. Come learn about ways to make your historic home more energy efficient, ask questions to the experts and mingle with your fellow historic homeowners!  Discussion topics: Energy efficiency measures to be taken in a historic home, Financing options for energy upgrades, Resources available to guide homeowners. This free workshop is provided by the City of Santa Rosa Clean Energy Advocate Program and is offered to all Sonoma County residents. RSVP by email CEA@srcity.org or call 543-3886. Sustainable Solutions for Historical Homes
