This time of the year gives us the opportunity to enjoy Halloween, Fall & harvest. Yearly favorites are Railroad Scare and the West End Full Moon tour- two of the best ways to celebrate this season. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan is still winding its way through the boards and commissions- don’t complain later if you don’t take the time to comment now. Last Day Saloon will have a benefit concert for Sadie’s Haven- a non-profit that provides care and shelter for neglected, abused and abandoned horses.

October 21st, Thursday- Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Board– Board will review the draft of the 2010 Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan Update. This is one of the final opportunities to make your comments of this draft. Location: 90 Santa Rosa Ave. City Hall Annex Building,  Conference Room 7A & B. Time: 4- 6 p.m.

October 22nd, Friday- Benefit Concert for Sadie’s Haven (Horse Rescue & Sanctuary) featuring the Pat Jordan Band.  Location: Last Day Saloon 120 5th Street  Time: Doors open 7:30 p.m. Concert is $10. 21 & older.  Last Day Saloon Sadie’s Haven

October 23rd, Saturday- 8th Annual Railroad SCARE! A family and pet friendly Halloween event in Historic Railroad Square. Children’s Pumpkin Parade with Snoopy & Pals 11 a.m., SCARE-dy Dog Parade 1:30 p.m., Scarecrow festival and more! Location: Depot Park in Railroad Square  Time: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

October 24th, Sunday- The West End Full Moon Tour. Discover the Secrets of the West End under October’s first full moon. Hear the stories of the past and travel to a different time. This year’s tour will feature a few sad and tragic tales from West End history.  Immerse yourself in the aroma of freshly baking sour dough bread at the Franco-American Bakery on West 7th Street.  You will also be taken back in time by the Fondettes who perform songs from the 1940’s.  Tour hosted by Allen Thomas. Location: The walking tour begins at Depot Park in Railroad Square, Santa Rosa. Time: 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $15, $25 with T-shirt. To purchase- click here!
