Dog Park may open this week!

The DeTurk Round Barn project began in April of this year. Thus far, we’ve seen a beautiful new dog park emerge and the Historic DeTurk Round Barn raised from the ground.

DeTurk Round Barn and Park update– Dog Park will tentatively open at the end of this Week! Project Schedule Highlights: Dog Park 1) Fence painted 2) Testing sod grow-in 3) Dog Park move in (Completed after water source for dogs had been completed) 4) “old” dog park closes.  Round Barn 1) 1st concrete pour for floor and column footings 2) Under slab electrical conduit continued 3) 2nd concrete pour for floor and elevator pit   Off-site improvements:  Start work on sidewalk etc. at Donahue/ W. 8th. Everything is subject to change due to varied circumstances.

There’s more work to be done on the project, but the West End dogs and their owners look forward to using the new dog park.
