Tours leave t 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., from the corner of E and 3rd Streets, by the downtown library and Farmers Market. Tours are approximately 45 minutes. June 19, Saturday 11am-3pm Knit in Public Day:
The public is invited to bring their yarn project to this simple knit/crochet event in the park to work on individual or group projects. The idea is to discover and/or create community through knitting in public. Participants should bring their own blanket or chair and snacks. Cast Away yarn shop will provide knitting and crochet supplies and lessons to anyone who does not already know how to knit or crochet. Takes place at Depot Park in Railroad Square. Don’t forget- Rent– at 6th Street Playhouse – an American musical that tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side.
