We’re ready for a summer season of events and activities, now we just need the weather to cooperate. The West End plays Bocce at DeMeo Park every Friday night at 6:30 p.m.  West End Summer Movie nights start this Friday ( “weather permitting”. Let’s cross our fingers!) There’s lots of other things to do too… take a gander and pick  your favorites.

June 3rd, Friday- Toy Story 3. Bring a blanket, warm clothes and friends. Free Popcorn. Location: DeTurk Round Barn Park 819 Donahue Street Time: Movies start at dark- 8:30 to 9 p.m. As soon as it is dark enough to project.  If it rains, the event is canceled.

June 3, July 1, August 5 & Sept 2-  Summer Nights at Railroad Square.  A Summer Street Party featuring wine tasting, live music, outdoor dining, crafters and art. The event is free, with wine tasting available for $20 with proceeds benefiting local non-profit organizations.  Location: Historic Railroad Square- 4th Street from Wilson to Davis Street. June 4th- First Saturday Clean up Help take care of restored Santa Rosa Creek flowing through the heart of downtown. Clean up and then pizza for lunch afterward. Please bring utensils so we may keep our trash impact low. Contribution to lunch, desserts, fruit and appetizers are always welcome. This year’s celebration was organized by the Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, so it will feature more Glitter, more Glam and more Indulgence! Talented Westender, ANANTA will perform. June 8th, Wednesday- Rialto Film Festival- “Conviction” Betty Anne Waters, a Massachusetts wife and mother of two, dedicates her life to overturning the murder conviction of her older brother Kenny. Convinced that her brother is innocent, Betty Anne puts herself through an 18 year quest to free Kenny. Screenwriter and So. Co. resident Pamela Gray, appear for Q&A following the 4:00pm and 7:00pm showings. Adults $10 Seniors (60 and up) are $8. June 4th, Friday-

West End Summer Bocce Every Friday at 6 p.m. at DeMeo Park. Join your friends and neighbors at beautiful DeMeo Park. Bring food and drinks to share. This is an all age, dog friendly event. To keep the event enjoyable and comfortable for all- please remember to observe Park rules: No glass, dogs on leashes. Wear layers for chilly nights.

Chops Summer Open House 1 to 4 p.m. Spend your summer at CHOP’s- There’s a gym, art studio, recording studio, climbing wall and more. Deluxe Buckets at Vine Art South A Street Festival 6:00pm – 9:00pm   Like to get your Bucket back on Deluxe style? See the Deluxe Buckets, the West End’s own Kelly “KC” Cowan, Dan “Detroit” Murphy, “Sexy” Dan Krause, Cliff “eekins” Hill, who will perform an early set at 6:15pm down north end alley (nearer the park). June 5th & 6th-Wine Country Quilts- Quilt Show & Sale- Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County holds a  two-day quilt show each June.
