Friday, July 23rd at 5 p.m.- CHOP’s Summer Art Gala Come to see the creativity and artistic endeavors of the Chop’s Teen Club members. Art displayed  from the Side by Side Professional Artist Series. Come enjoy hors d’eouvres by Chop’s Catering Crew and live music by Brody Cumming. Check out the fantastic programs for teens such as Dog Care & Agility, Basic Welding with local welding artist Arn Anderson, Chop’s Jam Band, Barista classes and More!

CHOPs Summer Gala

West End Summer Bocce-  Every Friday at 6 p.m. at DeMeo Park. Join your friends and neighbors at beautiful DeMeo Park. Bring food and drinks to share. This is an all age, dog friendly event. To keep the event enjoyable and comfortable for all- please remember to observe Park rules: No glass, dogs on leashes. The West End Neighborhood Association has procured a Special Alcohol Permit and Lavatory for West End Summer Bocce. Wear layers for chilly nights.

July 24th, Saturday 11:30 to 6 p.m. Rivertown Revival in Petaluma. Art Boat races, Free Floating River Sculptures, Food, Music & Sideshows. Music featuring West End’s favorites and Baby Seal Club Amber Lee and the Anomalies.

July 25th,  Sunday at 1 p.m. Midsummer Garden Tea at Luther Burbank Home & Gardens. Enjoy a charming reminder of bygone days at an afternoon tea in the beautiful Luther Burbank gardens. Buttery scones, succulent savories, delicious desserts, with a selection of teas served. This is a set menu; special food requests cannot be accommodated. Call 524-5445 for reservation information. Tickets are $35 per person and seating is limited. Wear your loveliest hat and win first prize! Complimentary house tour at 3:00 p.m. (This event would also be appropriate for guests 8 years and older.)

July 25th, Sunday 5- 7 p.m.  Live at Julliard Park – 17th Annual 2010 Summer Concert Series . Extend the weekend, come and enjoy a picnic dinner on a summer Sunday evening filled with music, fun and food. July 25th Poyntlyss Systars, Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and sit back and enjoy the entertainment. Bring your picnic dinner or purchase it from Worth Our Weight Culinary program or purchase a delicious coffee drink from The Coffee Girls. All performances are free.

West End Summer Bocce Season opens on Friday, May 14th 6 p.m. at DeMeo Park.  Your West End Neighborhood Association dues pay for the lavatory for our Summer Bocce season. Pay your dues by Pay Pal on our website or mail your check, payable to the West End Neighborhood Association to : Dan Wright, 512 Jefferson Street, Santa Rosa CA 95401. $10 suggested but any amount appreciated.

May 6th, Thursday at 5-7pm. Street Performer Presentation: The City of Santa Rosa will present a new draft ordinance to encourage permitted Street Performers in Santa Rosa. Comments and suggestions are encouraged. Although this will be a city wide policy, they anticipate heavier use of permits in the downtown area. May 7th, Friday- Street Sweepers are scheduled to clean our streets- however last month they came 2 days early…. So who knows? If it goes as planned, sweepers come early in the morning so move your cars off the curb to allow the gutters to be cleaned.

May 7th, Friday 7:30 p.m. – The Sonoma County New Horizons Band, a concert band composed solely of musicians age 50 or older, playing woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments, will give their Spring Concert this Friday evening. West End musician (and Gardening extraordinaire) Joan Woodhull plays Alto Saxophone.  Location: The Glaser Center 547 Mendocino Ave, Dowtown Santa Rosa. This is a free concert. May 8th, Saturday- Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive- Place your non-perishable food donations like canned meats & soup, pasta, juice etc.  at your mailbox before your letter carrier arrrives. It will be taken to the Post Office and then delivered to local foodbanks or panties. Visit www.usps.com/stampouthunger for more info.

May 8 to May 9, Saturday & Sunday- Music with the Stars – Gala Benefit and concert.  It’s a hometown celebration and star-studded show featuring former Santa Rosa High School students. These talents return home to Santa Rosa for a special concert benefiting 6th Street Playhouse and honoring retired Santa Rosa High School music teacher Dan Earl. May 8: 6:30 p.m. Gala Reception / 8 p.m. Performance – Gala reception including hors d’oeuvres, fine wines, silent and live auction $100 per person  May 9: 2 p.m. Mothers’ Day Performance – Bring your mother or another special woman for a Mother’s Day Treat $30 per person.  LOCATION: 6th Street Playhouse GK Hardt Theatre, 52 West 6th Street  BOX OFFICE: 707-523-4185  For more info Click Here!
