De Turk Round Barn Park now under construction- The area on the south side of the park is being cleared for the new dog park. The West End Historic Rose garden will be moved to a new location. More info, dates and details to follow!

Don’t let Tax Day get you down. There’s lots of fun things to attend- Music, Earth Day, Pugs and West End talent - You choose!

Can you sing? April 15th, Thursday- Audition to sing the National Anthem at the AMGEN Tour of California! Wine Country Radio is holding auditions for their annual Anthem Contest, 6-8 p.m. at the Russian River Brewing Company. Come prepared to belt out the National Anthem on stage and have your performance video taped. The top 5 performers will have their videos posted on Wine Country Radio websites for radio listeners to vote on their favorite, who will ultimately sing the anthem at the AMGEN Tour of California celebration in Santa Rosa on May 17th! Talent abounds in the  West End neighborhood. We have many creative, talented residents. We are also very fortunate to have a live performance theater right on W. 6th Street. 6th St. Playhouse has announced auditions for an upcoming show… anyone interested?

Speaking of talented neighbors, The Gong Show (Produced by West End resident Kelly Cowan) was by all accounts,  smashing success. If you missed the show- you can still enjoy the show on video.  The West End would like to thank Marcy Mendelson for catching Carmen Miranda on video. ( Marcy has also offered to help Carmen work on some “killer” samba moves!)  The talented and dashing Clifford Hill has also taken photos of the event.

January 8- February 7th at 6th Street Playhouse Hank Williams: Lost Highway A spectacular musical biography of the legendary singer-songwriter.

West End neighbor, Tim Sarter plays bass and the role of “Hoss”.  If you haven’t had a chance to see a show at the 6th Street Playhouse, this would be a fine time to do so! Excellent musicians, great show.
