Sunday, Oct. 18th 3:00pm 800 Coulter St (corner of Boyce and Coulter St.) Make a Scarecrow for Halloween! Please join us for our Second Annual Scarecrow-making Party this Sunday afternoon.  We’ll make several, then decide as a group on our favorite one and submit it to the Railroad Scare contest the next weekend.

We provide: hay, posts, and stuff for putting the parts together You bring: old Long-sleeved shirt; old pants/overalls; something for a head, if you have it (maybe a pumpkin?).

Optional: a hat or wig; gloves; Whatever wild things you want to decorate with! Be creative!

There’s always something fun to do when you live in the West End. This Week:

Friday, October 9th, 8 p.m.- Movie Night at DeTurk Round Barn.  Join your neighbors this Friday night just after dark at ** 8:00 ** pm to watch a movie outside, projected against the DeTurk Roundbarn. Bring a blanket & such to sit on (and to wrap yourself in as it gets cooler).** Also bring a cup or small bowl to get some free popcorn ** We’ll be watching Drumline this week. Sunday, October 11th at 3 p.m.- West End Alley Cat Race at Toad in the Hole Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, the 2nd annual alley cat race and food drive is finally here! Come out and support the Redwood Empire Food Bank as a participant in the race, with donations of food, or by bidding on the bicycles that will be auctioned off. Sunday, October 25th 3 p.m. at 800 Coulter Street- Make a Scarecrow for Halloween! Meet your neighbors and make a festive scarecrow. Hay and posts provided. You bring Scarecrow clothes, a head and accessories.

Saturday, October 31st 5 to 9 p.m. Chop’s Halloween Carnival at W. 6th and Adams Street. An evening of safe and ghoulish fun! Activities include trick or treating, a jumpy house,game booths, face painting, costume contest,mask making, cake walk and more.  Fee: $3.00 per person For more info push here !

It looks like it may very well rain for Halloween- so don’t forget that CHOPS is having a family Halloween Carnival. It should be a fun and dry event.

101 Southbound Ramp Opens
The 3rd Street on ramp to southbound 101 will officially open tomorrow (on schedule!) at 3 p.m.
