4th of July may be your favorite holiday- but it’s probably not your dog’s.

Enjoy the holiday with your dog, if possible.

Enjoy the holiday with your dog, if possible.

Every year, somebody in this neighborhood loses their dog because they left them in the backyard. A dog left in the backyard may spook and escape during all the noises and excitement of fireworks, firecrackers and other celebratory noise .

Don’t let it happen to you. Keep your dog with you during the holiday… there are ways to celebrate the 4th of  July with your dog.  If  you must leave them at home- leave them safely inside the house with a t.v., radio or noise filter on. If you are leaving town- leave them with Grandma, at their favorite doggie hotel or with a sitter who will be around during the evenings on the 3rd or 4th. Make sure they are checked on late on both evenings.

Keep everyone safe this holiday.

Keep everyone safe this holiday.

Let’s keep all the members of our family safe and happy on this holiday weekend!
