This is important… take a moment to voice your concern. Closing our streets to open an at-grade crossing at Jennings is a bad idea on many levels. The community deserves a safe crossing at Jennings (a bridge) and to keep connectivity on our streets. November 11th, Wednesday at 5 p.m. is the deadline to send in your comments regarding the proposed at grade-crossing at Jennings. An at-grade crossing at Jennings will mean the closure of 1 or 2 West End/Railroad Square Streets. The West End Neighborhood Association’s Spring Meeting was last night. We had a great turnout with over 60 folks attending. There was alot of information covered and some attendees asked that information be posted on one of our email updates. 1. Musical Guests- Vinyl Revival. The West End is very rich with creative people and we occasionally have the opportunity to highlight their talents at our meetings (and at bocce). Western Farm is in the news, SMART has announced that they will be able to extend the line to the Guerneville Road Station and a house of despair gets hope. Neighbors: Thank Goodness!  This once glorious historic building has had a very sad history of neglect and abuse. West End traffic alert: November 5th, Saturday- Run4Wishes 5 & 10 K Run-Walk.  Between the hours of 9 am and 11:30 am on Saturday, half of W. 6th street will be blocked off for runners, vehicles may still pass. W. 6th street will not be closed at any time. Volunteers on Pierson will briefly halt traffic for runners exiting the Pierson Reach.  Want to be involved?   Register for Race by visiting the Fleet Feet Sports store.
