A Message from Chop’s Teen Club
We are pleased that our building had no damage as a result of the fires and that we are open for business. Here is some important information:
EXTENDED HOURS
Hopefully you’ve seen our updated hours on Facebook, which is where we’ll post any and all adjustments to our schedule. We have extended our hours every day this week (through Friday, 10/20) from Noon to 7 pm, and will be offering free lunch.
We know that so many families are in constant motion right now, and hope that providing a meal to your teens will take one small thing off your plate.
FAMILY RESOURCES
From 9 am to Noon every day, any community members are welcome to come charge their phones at Chop’s, use our computers and printers and have a cup of coffee – donated by Starbucks. We also have masks available.
For any parents struggling with how to help their children cope, please take a look at these Parent Guidelines for Helping Children Impacted By Wildfires.
OPEN TO ALL SONOMA COUNTY TEENS
All teens are welcome to join us over the next few weeks, as long as they have completed our brief registration form (also available at the front desk). You don’t have to be a current Chop’s member to spend the day with us, and rides are available thanks to our RCU Auto Services van. Just give us a call.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Chop’s is in constant need of updated equipment and supplies for our teens. With our extended hours to accommodate school closures and the high numbers of teens visiting us since we reopened, Chop’s resources are being stretched thin. Any purchases of these needed items are greatly appreciated by the local teens who spend time at Chop’s.
SWEET 16
Many of you were planning to attend our birthday celebration on Wednesday. Though we are no longer having the party we had planned, there will still be cake and ice cream for any teens who wish to join us.
Please reach out to us if there’s anything we can do to support you, your children or your family. We are here to support you during this difficult time and look forward to helping rebuild our incredibly strong and resilient community.
