SMART Service Begins, Fairy Worlds last week!

SMART train begins service in North Bay    Get SMART’s eTicket App or a Clipper card to ride SMART. Adult Clipper cards are available for purchase at any SMART fare machine, online at clippercard.com, or at participating transit agency ticket offices and retailers. Through Labor Day, SMART fares and the 31-Day Pass are 50% off. Youth, seniors, and passengers with disabilities using a Clipper discount card will continue to receive a 50% discount after Labor Day.

September 2nd, First Saturday Cleanup on Prince Memorial Greenway (ages 5 to adult) On the first Saturday of every month help take care of restored Santa Rosa Creek flowing through the heart of downtown. The Greenway provides a home for river otter, kingfishers, egrets, and steelhead trout as well as parks, public art, and recreation along the six mile creek trail. Clean-up supplies provided. Location: Meet at Olive Park 10 a.m.

September 6th, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.- Catholic Charities Neighborhood Meeting As a condition of their city permit for the Homeless Service Center (HSC) at 600 Morgan Street, Catholic Charities meets with neighbors 4x/year. These meetings provide neighbors with an opportunity to discuss any issues they may be experiencing as a result of the 600 Morgan Street Service Center and to hear updates on the HSC and other programs. Representatives from the Santa Rosa City Council and the Police Department are usually in attendance. All interested parties are welcome. September 15th, Friday 6-9 p.m.- Cultura, a Celebration of Arte, Photography and Lowriders. Cruise to Railroad Square from Roseland Village Shopping Center starts 5:30- 6 p.m. Location: Historic Railroad Square

September 15 & 16th Friday & Saturday evenings- Lamplight Tour at S R Rural Cemetery Walk at night through Santa Rosa’s oldest cemetery to see and hear all new dramatic portrayals of some of our town’s early settlers. Lights, costumes and stage settings create a magical time as characters from the past depict a scene from their lives in the history of Santa Rosa, California and the United States. Children must be age 8 or over. Tours last about 90 minutes. Pre-registration required; click here to purchase tickets.
