May 17th- Free Bike Helmet Give-Away this Sunday! – The West End Farmers Market will give away free bike helmets to children- toddler to Grade 4. Give-Away starts at 10 a.m. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Available while supplies last. Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition will assist with helmet fitting- a crucial part of bicycle safety. The Bike Helmet Give-Away is funded by a City of Santa Rosa Cab Grant that was awarded to WEFM

May 16th, Saturday 10 a.m. to Noon- 121st Annual Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival One of Sonoma County’s most honored traditions and one of the oldest and largest events of its kind in Northern California. This year’s theme, Out of a Storybook will be on Saturday, May 16 starting at 10 am in Downtown Santa Rosa. This theme allows for a fun, whimsical and entertaining; and most importantly provides an opportunity to focus on literacy. Festival, at Old Courthouse Square, will follow the Parade we will have music, family fun activities, and many different food vendors.   Location: Downtown Santa Rosa
