8th St- W Steele Ln- San Miguel Rd SMART Railroad Crossing Sewer and Water Improvements. Estimated Construction Schedule: Slated to begin March, 2015 and is anticipated to be completed May, 2015. Construction Contract Amount: $378,309 Project ID #: 1833 Description: In advance of the upcoming train service and in order to protect the City’s utilities under the tracks, this project will extend the water casings at the railroad crossings located at West Steele Lane and San Miguel Road. The project will also replace the aging sewer and water infrastructure utilizing casings previously installed under the tracks along West 8th Street between Donahue Street and Wilson Street. The roadway will be reconstructed over the new utilities outside of the railroad right of way.
