April 3rd to Apr 19th– The Graduate “The Graduate” brings the inspired movie hit of the sixties vividly to life on stage. Benjamin Braddock, recent college graduate and prodigal son, returns home and promptly becomes embroiled in an affair with the wife of his father’s business partner, one Mrs. Robinson, but soon finds himself falling in love with her daughter, Elaine. March 29th, Sunday from 10am-1pm Auditions for Voices on the Vine- Actors of all types, ranging in age from 20s to 50s are invited to attend. There is no need to register in advance. Actors may either prepare a 1-2 minute monologue or be prepared to read from the scripts. Location: 6th Street Playhouse Studio Theatre.
May 22 to June 7th- New Voices On The Vine is the new name for 6th Street Playhouse’s New Play Festival. 6th Street Playhouse once again joins forces with Redwood Writers to produce an exciting line-up of deserving, fully produced new short plays; three brand new full-length staged readings; and workshops and keynote playwright speakers – all of which will populate a new three-weekend-long celebration of new works!
