February 16th, Monday- President’s Day. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.- DeTurk Round Barn Rose Garden Work Day We’re preparing the Rose garden for the blooming season. Lend a hand while we weed, prune and fertilize the rose garden on Monday, February 16th (President’s Day) from 11 to 2 to p.m. Bring gloves, pruners, beverage and other tools. Anyone is welcomed- Gina will be available for rose care guidance.

You can make time to write! In this two-hour workshop, you’ll get tips and tricks for how to create a writing life – even if it seems impossible to carve out an extra second. Whether you want to write for publication, start a blog, or create a daily therapeutic writing habit, you’ll leave this workshop ready and able to kick-start a lifelong writing habit. Reception  on February 13th 5 to 7 p.m  “In Appreciation of Luther Burbank”, The Ninth Street Mural Sketch, 1979 by artist (and West Ender) James Curtis. This exhibition showcases the final sketch for the mural “In Appreciation of Luther Burbank”, that was under the 9th St. overpass for nearly 30 years. Having recently returned from display in Nebraska, this work is returning home to So. Co. to be displayed for the first time in over two decades. Call 543-3010 for viewing hours.
