Harvest Celebration this weekend at the W. E. Farmers Market. Halloween is around the corner.
Sundays- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.- The West End Farmers Market. This week the WEFM celebrates the Harvest Season. Music by Doug Blumer and the Bohemian Highway & T Luke and the Tight Suits. There are special activities for dogs and dog lovers- 11 a.m.-1 p.m.- Meet Shirley Zindler author of “The Secret Life of Dog Catchers”. 10:30- 1 p.m. Harvest Dog Portrait Booth ($10 all proceeds benefit the “Love me, Fix me” program) and each dog gets a special treat courtesy of Western Farm Center. October 31st, Thursday- West End Kid’s Halloween Parade 5:30 p.m.- Time to show off your costumes! We will gather at Boyce and Coulter at 5:30. Thriller Dance at 6 p.m. followed by the parade.
November 2nd, Saturday 5 to 9 p.m.- 4-a-Child Masquerade Ball. Enjoy an evening in the DeTurk Round Barn – hors d’ oeurvres, dancing and wine. Black tie optional, masks required. This fundraiser benefits the California Parenting Institute. Tickets are $75 per person. West End Neighborhood residents get a $10 off admission.
