The West End Neighborhood Association’s Spring Meeting was last night. We had a great turnout with over 60 folks attending. There was alot of information covered and some attendees asked that information be posted on one of our email updates.
1. Musical Guests- Vinyl Revival. The West End is very rich with creative people and we occasionally have the opportunity to highlight their talents at our meetings (and at bocce). We were treated to a few songs in 4 & 5 part harmony. One of the members of the group, Laura McGinnis grew up in the neighborhood and is now an adult. It wasn’t so long ago that her parents would bring her and her brother, to quietly read, to our West End meetings. You may get more info about Vinyl Revival at http://www.windsorperformingarts.net
2. SRPD- Officer Sean Sulonen, of the Downtown Enforcement Team (ie: the bike cops) discussed issues that are important to the West End/Railroad Square area. He answered questions. email@example.com There is a handy link on the SRPD webpage that gives addtional contact info for our zone Beat 9( located in the heart of the City of Santa Rosa, is bordered by College Avenue to the north, Highway 12 to the south, Brookwood Avenue to the east, and Dutton Avenue to the west). http://ci.santa-rosa.ca.us/departments/police/beats/Pages/beat9.aspx

4. West End Farmer’s Market: Eryn Whitaker reported on the plans for a small scale, local farmer’s market on Donahue Street. The application is now being reviewed by various City Departments. In the meantime, it is important to show that there is community enthusiasm for the concept. You may sign an online petition to sign to show support for the market. http://www.change.org/petitions/city-of-santa-rosa-please-approve-application-by-west-end-farmers-market-for-a-permit-to-operate More info and updates at Facebook http://www.facebook.com/WestEndFarmersMarketSantaRosa
