September 29th, Saturday- 6th Street Improv kicks off their new season at the 6th Street Playhouse with an extraordinary evening of local comic talent. The Playhouse’s resident comedy improv troupe will be joined by special guests stand up comic Dave Pokorny, comedy improvisors The World’s Biggest Comedy Duo (which has way more than two members!), and the dynamic duo Sandy & Richard Riccardi, whose original musical comedy cabaret songs have earned them a national reputation. Call for Artists- Exhibit your art in 2012 The City of Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks Department hosts rotating art exhibitions at the City Hall Council Chambers, Finley Community Center and Steele Lane Community Center. We are currently accepting applications for the 2013 calendar year from Sonoma and Marin County artists. A variety of mediums are accepted, including painting, works on paper, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, and more. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, but for priority consideration for 2013, please submit applications by October 8, 2012.
