BBQ & Picnic Round Up

Jul 24, 2012 in Events, Miscellany, Neighbor News

Our annual BBQ and Bicycle Parade was a wonderful, warm gathering of family, friends and neighbors. It was the participation of many neighbors that really made it a great event. PHOTOS

Wholesome Family Fun

Allen Thomas, Guy & Carol Dean, Betsy Hall, JC Flugger and Heather Rosales helped with the set up/food purchasing. Guy Dean spent hours grooming our bocce courts. Betsy Hall, Cherie Kemp, Karen Spencer and Jacquie Smith helped everyone decorate their bikes. The bike parade proudly cruised the neighborhood led by Allen Thomas, with cheers lead by Veronica Jordan and Paul Poling.  Bike Marshals Heather Rosales, Leslie Graves & Jennifer Watson kept everyone safe.

We were treated to delicious hamburgers, hotdogs and ribs by BBQ masters Guy Dean, Heather Rosales and JC Flugger. The beer grotto was a Dave Drake production- he made and served his excellent West End IPA, West End Pils and a Pils/ soda combo.

Grillmasters at work

Carol Haseltine-Ernst spent several hours decorating the faces of our West End children. Lea Barron-Thomas caught the best parts of the day in pictures. Thanks to everyone who provided a fantastic selection of side dishes, salads and desserts. Long time West End sponsors Western Farm Center provided the BBQ and the hay bales & Franco American Bakery provided fresh rolls. It was an awesome day!

Kids were delighted by Carol's facepainting
