BBBBRRRR!!! What happened? Welcome to November.
Mark your calendars. The West End Neighborhood Association’s Fall meeting will be on November 17th, Thursday 7 p.m. at DeTurk Round Barn. It’s a good time to see your neighbors before the holidays and winter set in.

November 4th, FridayFirst Friday Night Sky programs are offered September 2011 to  May 2012.  Learn interesting facts in or about the sky that night. Free but donations to support SRJC’s Planetarium are gratefully appreciated. Seating on a first-come, first-served basis; so arrive early enough to pick up your free parking permit, return it to your vehicle, and arrive back at planetarium by show start. Location:SRJC Planetarium in Lark Hall, Room 2001, Santa Rosa Campus Time:7:00 and 8:30pm

November 5th, Saturday- Prince Memorial Greenway clean up/ First Saturday Cleanup  First Saturday and the City of Santa Rosa’s Storm Water Team are joining forces to clean up Prince Memorial Greenway. Stephanie Lennox, Storm Water Team’s environmental educator will be on hand to provide interesting facts. This would be a great time to volunteer for a late season cleanup. Bring the whole family – clean up  age appropriate for ages 5 to adult. November 5th, Saturday- Run4Wishes 5 & 10 K run-walk.  Fleet Feet Sports and New Era Training hosts this event that will benefit the “Make a Wish” Foundation. Walk or Run, strollers and pets on leash welcome. Race will start in Railroad Square and end up on W. 6th (via Prince Memorial) 300 participants are anticipated. Attention W. E. residents that means races will be on Pierson and W. 6th from 9 a.m. to 11:30 THIS Saturday so plan accordingly. Appearance from NBC Hit reality series “The Biggest Loser” by Ashley Johnston, Koli Palu.Race Expo in Depo Park.   Register for Race by visiting the Fleet Street store. November 10th, Thursday- S. R. Sneak Preview of “Division III: Football’s Finest”. Santa Rosa native and West End’s Catherine DePrima’s (of Boyce Street) son Marshall Cook is debuting his first feature film here next week. The film was inspired by Santa Rosans who influenced him is donating is half of the box office receipts Cardinal Newman Youth Empowerment Services. Movie stars Andy Dick, Adam Carolla, Marshall Cook, Bryan Callen and Sally Kirkland.
