The last time the West End heard about this plan it was 68 units of low income Senior Housing. The new proposal will be approx. 82 units with at least 65 of those units low income Family housing. There will also be approx. 1 parking spot for each unit.
The City of S. R. is partnering with a private developer to build the Cannery mixed-use development project, the first phase of the proposed, multiple-phase New Railroad Square mixed use development project, located in Historic Railroad Square between West Third Street, Santa Rosa Creek, West 6th Street and the railroad tracks. They are applying for a loan that will dictate the type and income level of the proposed housing. This is your opportunity to ask questions, make comments and recommendations.
