Cats & Birds- good separately but together not so much– A bird bath is an essential feature for gardeners trying to attract birds. Birdbaths should be placed in an open area about 10 feet away from a sheltering tree or large shrub. Close enough for fast flight to safety but far enough away to be out of reach of a cat lying in wait. Speaking of cats, a small bell on Fluffy’s collar can help give birds a bit of notice.
